Father Jenkins Should Resign

The commencement celebration at Notre Dame today was a sham.  Of course we expected the usual liberal
babblings from the president, but the speech by Father Jenkins was appalling in his support of this President who has an unknown background and a questionable agenda.

Father Jenkins should be forced to resign from Notre Dame. His preclude to Obama's speech should have been focused on the class of 2009 but became the Obama show.  While he went on and on about the abortion issue and how he expressed his "love-fest" for a President who has shown nothing in the first three months but a downward spiral and move toward socialism for our country was not only nauseating but down right insulting.

As a person who has been raised Catholic, I cannot forgive his downright slobbering and intent to please Obama. Many American families, under difficult financial situations, choose to send their children to Notre Dame to get a Catholic education.  Today's abomination would suggest a better alternative to a 35k + price tag. 

I respect the faculty at Arizona State University more than the prestigious staff at Notre Dame for choosing NOT to bestow an honorary degree to a president who is questionable in his beliefs and his motivations to run this country.  I would hope the faculty and the alumni of Norte Dame  will ask to force the resignation of Father Jenkins.  His actions are despicable and not upholding to the Catholic faith.  

Amid this controversial debate, Obama should have declined the invitation; but since his motives are not in the best interest of Notre Dame or the United States of America, he proceeded to become a headline for a very disturbing topic: Abortion. I am sorry that the graduating class of 2009 had to be held hostage during this circus.  Good luck and God bless you.
