I sent this letter today to Wall Street Journal in response to Peggy Noonan's "Now for the Slaughter" article. Please comment.
Peggy Noonan calls Glenn Beck insane.
Peggy Noon has used almost a half of the Opinion page
mentioning Mr. Baier’s remarkable interview of President Obama. She has a
point. My question to Ms. Noonan is: Why are you surprised? The press has been
protecting this president to a fault. No relevant questions to this president
are permitted.
I was born in Eastern Europe on Dec 7 1941, in the middle of the war.
I have some understanding of what the communist / socialist society is about. I
escaped communism in 1969 and was lucky enough to be accepted by this great
country as an immigrant. I became a naturalized citizen in 1967. I have been
watching, to my dismay, an undeniable shift of this society towards socialism
from the day I arrived, when Nixon set caps on salaries, way back in the
seventies.
The reason I am writing the letter to Ms. Noonan is to make
a statement. She should know better from the days when she worked for President
Regan. Here is my message: Do not think Glenn Beck is insane. Granted, Glenn
might be extreme in his message(s) but he is accurate. I experienced the
environment he is been depicting.
She should look closer to her vest for signs of insanity, or
at least dereliction of professional duty by most of the media. Peggy Noonan is
part of it.
